Reimagining CivicScience

CivicScience wanted to reimagine their product to attract more users, increase usage frequency, and enable collaboration.

Customers were struggling to make use of the insights date because the product experience had not been updated in 10 years.

Over a 6 month period, we redesigned the product experience and provided an integrated sales and marketing framework with an uplifted brand toolkit to measurably grow brand customers and publishing partners.

Our goal was making real-time polling and consumer research more approachable.

Data analysis and polling is a heavy topic. Through competitive research and customer interviews, we were able to understand the product experience paradigm that was familiar to customers at the time and how they intended to use the tools. We discovered that clients had an appetite for submitting questions and building workspaces to share insights with their teams similar to how they were using tools like Basecamp.

We also learned that a simpler, more approachable brand language and providing clearer pathways for audiences to find information, would reduce cognitive friction for curious digital marketers and insights teams looking for better richer sources of customer sentiment data.
